Join Pelican Park and Fontainebleau State Park for an immersive weekend spent learning about and exploring Louisiana’s natural world! Come for the day, or stay overnight at the on-site campground or dormitory. From expert-led talks and guided hikes to immersive field trips and scenic paddles, the Bartram Biobash offers something for all nature lovers!
Activities explore a wide range of topics including:
Louisiana snakes
Nocturnal naturalist adventures
Mushrooms and foraging
Insects and butterflies
Bats
Birdwatching
Native plants and habitat restoration
Marine biology
Galls
Nature journaling
Outdoor yoga
Kids activities include guided day and night hikes, live animals with Nature on the Geaux, art activities, and a scavenger hunt.
Early bird prices:
Weekend pass, no lodging: free!
Weekend pass, tent camping: $25
Weekend pass, dormitory bed: $50
Early bird registration opens 6/1. Registration covers one person for both nights. The dormitory is reserved for 18+ only.
