Introducing Our Friends of Pelican Park Board
The current board, composed of all volunteers, consists of the President, Bobby McKinney; Treasurer, Alex Balducci; Secretary, Jennifer Messina and board members, Sue McGuire (Not pictured), Chris Tissue, Heath Jones (past President) and Walker Liddell (Not pictured).
What is the Friends of Pelican Park Inc.?
The Friends of Pelican Park, have been in existence since 1998. It is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to enhance Pelican Park’s facilities and programs.
Past projects include the playground at the Orange complex, the 12 station health trail located along the park’s paths, resurfacing of playground surfaces, purchasing trees as part of the District’s reforestation project and supporting scholarships.
These projects were made possible through the generous donations of the District’s residents. Donations can be made when registering for any program or sent directly to the park made payable to Friends of Pelican Park. Additionally, your employer may have a program that allows you to make contributions through payroll deductions. Some employers will even match their employees’ donations!
