Celebrate Trails Day is a national event that celebrates appreciation and support for trails. Since 2013, Rails to Trails Conservancy has teamed up with hundreds of partners nationally to inspire thousands of people to get outside and explore their local trails.
We will "Celebrate Trails" at Northlake Nature Center with a bird-focused nature walk from 9:00 - 10:30AM! Please bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, and anything you may need.
Fontainebleau State Park is also participating in the event and will host a nature walk starting at 11AM at their visitor's center. More information can be found on Fontainebleau State Park's website.
Accessibility: Northlake Nature Center has a gravel parking lot and a portalet for restrooms. We will be hiking on a ground-level boardwalk, an elevated boardwalk, and uneven, hard-packed trails. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any accessibility concerns you may have. We are happy to accommodate you to the best of our ability!
