2025NP - Birdwatching 101 - Sep 12

Join us for a casual introduction to the world of birdwatching on September 12th at Fontainebleau State Park's visitor's center. No experience or prior knowledge required! Beginners are encouraged to attend. This class will provide you with the basics of bird identification and finding birds, bird watching best practices, and the tools of the trade.

This class is a great way to prepare for the Pelican Park Nature Club’s BIRDATHON that will take place on September 13th. We will be birdwatching all day and have binoculars available for loan. You can find us at the following locations at their corresponding times:

8AM: Fontainebleau State Park. Meet by the splash pad.
10AM: Boy Scout Road @ Big Branch National Wildlife Refuge.
12PM: Northlake Nature Center.
2PM: Fairview State Park. Meet by the Swamp Boardwalk.
4PM: Neighborwoods Park in Mandeville.
