Programs
Join the Pelican Nature Club as we take a walk through the woods of Northlake Nature Center after dark! We'll get a chance to observe crepuscular (active around dawn and dusk) critters during their most active time. Some fun critters we may observe are reptiles, amphibians like a giant Amphiuma, owls, insects, and even mammal species like a Southern Flying Squirrel or Red Fox!
Please bring a flashlight or head lamp and water. Long pants and long sleeves are recommended. Close toed shoes are required.
This event is for adults aged 18+. Be on the lookout for family-friendly night hikes in the future!
Accessibility:
Northlake Nature Center has a gravel parking lot and a portalet for restrooms. We will be hiking on a ground-level boardwalk, an elevated boardwalk, and uneven, hard-packed trails. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any accessibility concerns you may have. We are happy to accommodate you to the best of our ability!
