Youth Sports at Pelican Park

Youth Sports has 5 seasons during the year with varied sports each season. (See chart below for approximate dates, ages and sports that are available for each season) Returning players can register online or register in the Pelican Park office, which is located in the Castine Center at the Park. New players MUST register in the office, and must present a birth certificate and current utility bill for proof of residency. In-office registrations may be paid by check, cash, Visa or MasterCard. You may register online with a valid Visa or MasterCard if your child has participated in any Pelican Park sport (except soccer, which is managed by Mandeville Soccer Club) in the past three years, and the Park has a valid birth certificate for the child on file. 
 
 
 
 
 
 Youth Soccer

COOPERATIVE ENDEAVOR WITH MANDEVILLE SOCCER CLUB

The soccer needs of the community are met by a cooperative endeavor between the Recreation District #1/Pelican Park and The Mandeville Soccer Club. The District provides top quality fields, lighting, regular painting of the game lines, goals and turf care at no cost to MSC. Mandeville Soccer handles the administration of the soccer program, which includes registration, team formation, coaches, schedules, training and much more. Mandeville Soccer Club and Pelican Park work together to provide the community with one of the best soccer programs in the South!! Two soccer seasons are offered for ages 4-18. Adult Sports

Pelican Park offers a variety of adult sports to serve our community. The purpose of the leagues is to provide an outlet for adults to continue to play their favorite sport, have fun, stay fit, and to socialize. The Park offers three (3) levels of play for the adult leagues…

  • Just For Fun level - these leagues have no officials with open rosters throughout the duration of the session
  • Recreation level – these leagues have officials with open rosters for throughout the duration of the session
  • Competitive level – these leagues has officials, locked rosters, tournament and awards.
There are several leagues throughout the year including Pickleball, Just for Fun Volleyball, Just for Fun Spiking Volleyball, Competitive Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Men's Softball and Co-Ed Softball etc.

Adult sports registration is conducted in the Pelican Park office only, and is payable by cash or check only. Sport offerings vary each session depending on field and court availability. For all adult sports, space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Adult Sports Schedules are located under the Main Menu: Sports/Schedules

 
Hours of Registration Times

During open registration periods, online registration is available 24 hours a day for returning players. Registration in the Pelican Park office is held during the following regular office hours:

Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.



Refunds

Until team formation has begun, refunds are given upon request less a $5 handling fee. In the time period between the draft and the second game, a refund request is not guaranteed; a refund will be issued during this time only if a child from a waiting list accepts the spot being vacated. Once a waiting list player is registered for the open spot and the child dropping from the league has returned his or her uniform (if applicable), a refund will be issued less the $5 handling fee. Once the second game of a season has been played, no refunds are issued for any reason.
